The mission of Operation HOPE (HOPE) is to expand economic opportunity, making free enterprise work for everyone. HOPE is a for-purpose organization working to disrupt poverty for millions of low- and moderate-income youth and adults across the globe. We equip young people and adults with the financial resources and education to secure a better future – coaching them through their personal aspirations and life’s challenges while facilitating their journey to financial independence.
HOPE’s goal is to turn check-cashing customers into banking customers, renters into homeowners, small business dreamers into small business owners, minimum wage workers into living wage consumers, and uncertain disaster victims into financially empowered disaster survivors.
HOPE is dedicated to uplifting communities and restoring financial dignity and economic opportunity in an effort to remediate root causes of social, economic, and racial injustice. HOPE serves families, children, and small businesses who are facing financial challenges due to generational poverty created by systemic inequalities and racial barriers. The people we serve are, in part, underbanked, working multiple jobs, living paycheck to paycheck, trying to sustain a small business, survive a disaster, and/or reenter the workforce after military service, incarceration, or now, the COVID-19 pandemic. HOPE has a multi-layered approach to combating economic inequality with financial coaching programs that strengthen small businesses, raise credit scores, reduce debt and increase savings, equip entrepreneurs, build wealth through homeownership, and help disaster survivors build resilience.
Operation HOPE will expand its youth programs and small business development training with a focus on the financial tools and education needed to secure a better future.
